Let’s Set this Story Straight, for Once and for All, Shall We?

Very interesting that a particular story seems to be making very vocal rounds about the news world and the internet:

I am talking about the hunting excursion, in Africa, involving an American dentist, who apparently has some serious money to burn, and is being held up world wide as a heinous villain. I am talking about Mr. Walter Palmer and the hunting-guide outfit that accompanied him to the spot where he shot a Lion named “Cecil”. It is very disturbing that the cacophonous calls of him being a “murderer” and an absolutely horrible human being for his part in the killing of Cecil.

So,

Is this to be another call to eliminate the institution of “hunting”, and ban all sorts of outdoorsmanship of any similarity? – The shrill, emotionally-charged chorus-calls behind such movements and publicized statements just shows the irrationality of the whole issue by various groups of people who have only emotion and fantasy to base their actions on. It just the sort of “touchy-feely” opportunism that overrides commonsense and rational thinking, that begets unrealistic and often totalitarian responses of more regulation and “laws” to further regulate the people’s activities. However, what is really being accomplished here, and to what end?

We all like to see the cute little babies of virtually all animal species, and watch their playful antics. We all enjoy a good story of a beautiful family in the wilds, and the often breath-taking views of the scenery on a bright, sun-lit day somewhere far off in the distance. However, are these same “loving people” also in touch with the darker shades of Nature, and the many horrors that often play out in the most unexpected and heart-wrenching fashion? Do these people truly understand the principles and actions behind the Will of Nature? – Methinks not!

I have personally seen much of BOTH faces of the natural world, being that I also live very near some of the most desolate and most unforgiving environments that Nature has to offer the great Northwest of the United States. I have personally seen the constant struggle for survival of many different species of life, both large and very small, as they live precariously from day to day. Life is very hard, and sometimes – very short for some individuals in the Natural World. There is Life and Death in Nature, and sometimes, either or neither can be very beautiful, or very horrible! Nature just is what it is. Nature can be both merciful, and heart-rendingly merciless in Her dealings with any and all species and individuals.

We, as a supposedly highly-sentient species, should KNOW all of this, even if by merely observing these truths played out in front of us, daily and always. Hunting is the province of the predator species (which includes we humans), and the prey – the subject of the hunt. (I know, I know! We have “grocery stores”! WHO needs to hunt anymore?) – Well, to rely upon an artificiated convenience (like grocery stores, pharmacies, etc.) without truly acknowledging that these conveniences come at great effort, and great cost to continue, do we even realize that these “conveniences”, may one day, no longer be convenient nor accessible due to some unforeseen “disaster” or disruption in the supply chains. If all of our conveniences were to suddenly become “unavailable” and not-so convenient, what happens to those who lack the basic survival skills needed to navigate through those contingencies???

If we are to take a close look at things, rationally, in today’s world, we should begin to realize that Nature had the first recipe for existence AND survival. Nature’s adage: “Survival of the fittest”. This means that these terrible struggles that most of Nature’s (non-human) children go through, are part of the tempering process by which the strongest and most able the species, are the ones who stand the best chance of survival, and go on to produce more of their species. This is an immutable fact of Nature!

Also what’s pertinent in respect to Nature:

Waste not, want not!

We, as a sentient species, should also know that Nature wants to maintain a balance in the natural world. If we are to have plenty of game and such, in which to hunt AND (hopefully) utilize to the fullest, we should be smart about taking ONLY WHAT WE WILL RIGHTLY USE. – I have never been a big fan of “trophy”-hunting, as most of the “trophy-hunters” seem only interested in obtaining something to hang on the walls of their homes as a memento of their “conquering Nature”! What about the other usable parts and pieces of these animals? There are many hungry people in this world (by artificiated design of the globalists) who would be fed by the remains of the carcass of the deceased. What about the parts usable for clothing, as there surely are many who can not afford to procure their own clothing for protection from the elements? AND, what about being grateful for the challenge the animal gave while it was still alive, and grateful for its destiny being placed into your hands? (As like the various ancient peoples did.)

* * *

The only crimes I can conceivably consider for Mr. Palmer AND the hunting-guide outfit who traveled with him:

Mr. Palmer: – Poaching, by means of illegal enticement of an animal from a preserve, for the purposes of killing it outside of that preserve. – And – Waste and Abuse of animal through cruel and unusual treatment and negligence. –> “If you wound it, you had best go after it and finish killing it!

The Hunting Guides: – Accessory to poaching, aiding and abetting poaching, conspiracy to commit and/or allow, and complicity to poaching, aiding and abetting the illegal enticement of a game animals from a preserve, for the purposes of allowing the hunter to kill it outside of that preserve.

The most damning of all:

If Mr. Palmer did indeed allow the animal HE WOUNDED to wander and suffer from his inflicted injuries for over fourty hours, then shame on HIM! – I am from “The Old School” of hunting: “If you shoot it and wound it, YOU go after it and FINISH THE JOB of killing it, so as to put it out of its misery!

There ARE at least some hunters with a rational moral of ethics.

To those who wish to see the total ending of all hunting, period:

– “You are outside the bounds of rationality and reason. Perhaps you do not TRULY understand how cruel Nature can be, and often is, especially when it is Her predators doing the hunting.

New Study: GMO Soy Accumulates Cancerous Formaldehyde.

Among other shocking issues. . .

soybeans-crops-735-350

Posted on July 17, 2015

As if there weren’t plenty of reasons already to avoid genetically modified soy and other soy products – now a new study has made eating this GM crop even less appetizing.

As I previously reported for Natural Society, GM soy is toxic to the kidneys, liver, and reproductive system – and that’s not good considering that almost 90 percent of the soy grown in the US is genetically modified.

In a study we recently shared with you, researchers in Egypt who studied rats fed a GM soy diet found that:
  • DNA fragmentation increased significantly after the rats were fed GM soy, and the levels of toxicity increased at 30, 60, and 90 days.
  • Glyphosate-tolerant enzymes were found in the blood, and as researchers pointed out, “There is a growing concern that introducing foreign genes into food plants may have an unexpected and negative impact on human health.”
  • The kidney’s bio-pathology increased. Blood creatinine and uric acid concentrations increased significantly in rats fed the GM diet for 30, 60, or 90 days.
  • Chromosomal aberrations were observed. There was a “highly significant” number of abnormal cells.

Now, a study has just been released by Dr. V.A. Shiva Ayyadurai, Ph.D., an MIT-trained systems biologist, which states that in vitro and in vivo lab tests reveal that a diet of GM soy results in:

“[the] accumulation of formaldehyde, a known carcinogen, and a dramatic depletion of glutathione, an anti-oxidant necessary for cellular detoxification, in GMO soy, indicating that formaldehyde and glutathione are likely critical criteria for distinguishing the GMO from its non-GMO counterpart.”

This means that all those biotech claims that GM and non-GM soy are essentially the same, are nothing but hogwash.

Dr. Ayyadurai stated:

“The results demand immediate testing along with rigorous scientific standards to assure such testing is objective and replicable. It’s unbelievable such standards for testing do not already exist. The safety of our food supply demands that science deliver such modern scientific standards for approval of GMOs.”

This is yet another reason to avoid GM soy.

COMMENT FROM THE POSTER:

And so the beat goes on even more.

Soy products of today have had questionable effects on human health, yet no one in industry, and definitely not in “government” have had the temerity to even do the proper research and evaluations of much of the soy products before pushing them as “health foods” in the market. Much of the “natural” soy products are actually filled with toxic residues of the agricultural chemicals used during growing, and the various chemicals used in the processing of raw soy.

More to this point, UNfermented soy and products made from unfermented soy are actually unfit and quite unhealthy for the human body. Many ancient cultures who used soy products for thousands of years fermented it first, as this effectively removes the more toxic principles before consumption. One of these unhealthy substances that naturally occurs in soy belongs in the chemical class of “pseudo-estrogens”. That is, a substance that mimics the effects of estrogen in the body that may cause certain undesireable characteristics to occur in the body. – This from unfermented soy.

Most of the “natural” (as claimed by the manufacturer on the label) soy products like “Silk” (TM), soy-based coffee creamers, and even the DHA that is added to certain baby formulas was extracted and treated with hazardous chemicals like Cyclo-Hexane, and various other petro-chemical-based substances. The resulting residual contaminants can lead to other health problems. Then, many sampled soy products were found to contain trace amounts of Mercury, an dangerous neurotoxic heavy metal that can accumulate in the body!

GMO soy has the added problems in that NONE of the various GMO-agriproducts have been thoroughly tested for actual health effects on the human population. They have all been “Generally Regarded As Safe” by the Food and Drug Administration without any actual hard evidence. Then, there is the problem of “Round-Up Resistant” (TM) crops yielding sufficient contaminating amounts of the dangerous Glyphosate (TM) and its common metabolite AMPA (Amino-Methyl-Phosphoric-Acid). These substances are being discovered in human urine, milk, and body fat samples of virtually the entire populations of the Western World, as well as in populations of many of the countries producing these GMO crops.

Where my Temple takes a stand against GMOs, in general, is when it is all in the misguided thinking, by the biggest pushers and profiteers of the sale of GMOs, that they can “improve upon Nature”. – This hubris in its finest shining colors, and We, the human species, are the unwilling “Guinea Pigs” in this grand experiement of the “refining and redefining of Nature”!

Think it is all to horrible to be true?

Perhaps it is time to do your own investigation, and compare what the pro-GMO crowd says is safe, to what you can reasonably find are the REAL answers.

I’m Sorry but, Natural is Beautiful! Nature Rules. – Part 5

How “Being Human” really matters, and trans-humanism’s ideologies conflict with the concept of being a Natural Human. (Supremacy-over-Nature lunacy.):

There seems to be a “mentality” surrounding the trans-humanism movement that is very disturbing to me:

One of: Supremacy over Nature, and over the limits of Nature (as “imposed” upon us in our current existence).

In every historic instance,

A few self-professed masters of science, truth, and higher learning have continued the flawed thinking that: “Nature is imperfect, and it is up to US to refine and improve upon where ‘Nature left off’.” A general paraphrasing and summation of the thoughts and ideas of the privileged few in high academia and industry (interestingly enough), that shows a supreme arrogance and virtual narcissisitic attitude towards Nature, and the present condition of mankind. Through their lenses, the world is all screwed up because of ‘Nature’s Faults’. Never once, is it ever entertained within their high-society circles, that Nature IS quite perfect, and has been functional for over four billion years! The Human species has been one of the most successful in “Being Fruitful and Multiplying”, even in spite of the many harsh conditions around the world (like the driest deserts to the coldest artic reaches), and what mankind has placed upon himself (through imperial wars, conquests, “purges”, etc.). No matter what the circumstance, Man, as a creature and child of Nature, has always managed to bounce back and reclaim his territory and whatever cultures and customs that have survived. All of this, without resorting to “going virtual”, nor “uploading himself, his memories, etc.” to some centralized and hazard-prone mainframe. Man has shown a remarkable resilience, even against himself – in spite of himself, without transforming into something other than a natural creature and inhabitant of this world.

The history of man’s successes and failures is a testament to what mankind has been able to accomplish, for good or for ill, by his own innate, natural abilities. WHERE is the imperfection in all that? Perhaps, adopting an old maxim: “Spiritual Beings, having a Human Experience” makes most sense here. However, most of the Trans-Humanism Movement are, by and large, atheistic. A-HA! Maybe there is something to this whole process, all based on this very narrow-minded thinking. That is, the very narrow-minded thinking that they claim that those of us who believe in a “god”, or believe in any kind spiritual afterlife has a “mental disorder”, or are delusional. Perhaps, this is a “run-off” from the distaste of any form of religion, courtesy of the flawed concepts and teachings of the modern-day “church”??? It seems to me that the greatest contributor to the growing ranks of “atheism”, are most of the modern “churches” and their pernicious and often predatory practices and dogmas. To have a religion is not the threat. To define one’s own life by reference to one or more religions is similar, no threat. The problem lies in the excuses to do ill towards others of differing beliefs, by falling back onto their own religions is the key problem. However, that is not a fault of Nature. The blame lies squarely with those who exert control over their congregations, and the individual participants in the congregations themselves. One CAN be spiritual, without being associated with any of the known, established religions. I suppose that a “virtual existence” would be posited as the answer to this age-old problem? After all, machines have no need for a religion, right? Therefore, such an extensive virtual reality would also have no need (and no place) for any religion or spiritual expression? Now what would this reduce man to: A mere collection of bits, bytes, and patterns of digital data that need a means to travel from location to location?

Then, we have the question of what parts of the “Human Reality” could be successfully and faithfully reproduced?

We often take for granted, the various stimuli and interactions we have with the world around us. One of those, is the ability of sight. If one has never experienced blindness, or any severe impairment of vision, how does one come to appreciate the things he/she sees (or should see) every day? We may wonder what a blind person “sees” or what one could perceive of the world around him/her when clearly, eyesight is not a luxury, nor ability, available to him/her. Obviously, someone like Helen Keller still had the ability to “see” the beauty of the world around her. Whether it from some hidden sense of “sight”, or some other form of knowing, she still became a very wise and appreciative lady, in spite of her lifelong “disability”. The creative abilities of the mind can never truly be underestimated.

We oftentimes do not consider how important our sense of hearing is to us. One who is deaf, or even has severe enough hearing difficulty, may still be able to experience some aspect of life is if he/she still had some ability to “hear”. We all have our favorite songs and music, and even our particular haunts and hangouts where the “ambience” or “atmosphere” includes certain particular sounds and qualities of sounds we may find most appealing. Many of our choice melodies and tunes even invoke memories of things we experienced when we last heard those particular songs. Some of the sounds in our environment may evoke certain emotions and feelings. Can we truly say we have a healthy appreciation for these things, by taking the fact of our ability to hear them, for granted? Would our not ever being able to hear things around us impact what and how think about our world?

We also have our ability to taste that which we consume, and savor every bite – if we so choose to. Many of our world’s finest old-time cooking, and the various cultures that produced those varieties of flavors, have much meaning, on a personal level, to us. I have always found that the wonderful smells of good cooking, had me anticipating the flavors I was about to experience at the table. These wonderful experiences in the culinary art, and in the presentation of these fines, homemade dishes was also what made life worth living for. I have known a few friends who had lost their senses of taste (and sometimes, sense of smell too) due to accident(s) and/or the resulting permanent injury(ies). For one to lose his sense of taste, after growing up most of his life being to savor all kinds and qualities of flavors, all to suddenly lose that ability, must indeed feel that his life has changed dramatically. When we were children, “taste” was one of the sensory means of exploring our world.

Being able to touch and feel textures, reliefs, and various surfaces (and other stimuli, even the incidental [like bug-bites, etc.]) is a very important part of our interactions with the world. Our existence relies very heavily, and is often greatly enriched, by our tactile sensitivity, and the ability to recognize and appreciate this physical sense. We also commonly communicate through touching, hand-shaking, “atta-boy” pats on the back, and even the caressing and “petting” of our dearest loved one(s). The sense of touch is a very personal and inter-personal sensation to us. We may even feel the desire to “feel” the rough bark on a tree, the gravel or sand beneath our feet when we walk, or even enjoy the gentle currents of water in a nearby creek or stream. Our tactile exploration of life in our world does not seem to end, until the day we leave this world. We constantly explore for new sensations, and reunite with the old familiar ones. What would life be like, without being able to actually feel and touch things and other people around us? Would we still be having the fullest of that “Human Experience”?

One thing I enjoy most of all about the season of Spring: The wonderful smells of sweetness of the first flowers! It is one of the biggest reasons why I love the Spring. The smell of the Earth awakening from its long, Wintery slumber, is a reminder of changes, and how Nature constantly reinvents herself, every year. The enjoyment of the olfactory experiences is also one of the reason I love being in a forest of Pines, Spruces, and various other odiferous and aromatic trees and herbs. I love the smell of Pine and Cedar! As such, the world filled with all sorts of smells, is often the first indication for the new day. Here where I live, it is semi-arid conditions, and has plentiful Sagebrush on the plains. Every Fall, when it is late enough for some frost, after a good nighttime rainfall, I can usually smell the fresh scent of Sagebrush in the cool air in the mornings. This always reminded me of that particular time of year (and that I was back in school for another long nine months). To this day, I have long since moved back to this area, and still enjoy the smells of Spring, and Sagebrush smell of the Fall – especially after a night of cooling rains has soaked the ground. What would such a life be like, not ever having to experience the various smells around me, or having the ability gone – after experiencing for a number of years already?

Then, there is the aspect of Extra-Sensory-Perception (for those who acknowledge and/or believe such is possible) or E.S.P. This is a natural ability that ALL living creatures (even plants and microbes) seem to demonstrate. It is amazing what some creatures do as a reaction to some unseen activity, or in response to some otherwise-unknown event or happening. Some of your modern-day psychics (the REAL ones, not all those charlatans who claim to be psychic) and empaths exhibit and/or acknowledge these abilities. Some would say that being devoid of E.S.P. abilities leaves one lacking in experiencing the world hidden from “plain view”. Though today’s “science” refuses to even entertain any discussion, let alone true meaningful, un-biased research into it, there are still many unanswered questions about E.S.P. Interesting that Quantum Physics, Entanglement Theory, and the various related disciplines of science, have been summarily ignored by the “mains” of academia. Even though the Quantum Sciences have been around and discussed and explored for many years, there is hardly any main-stream discussion about them today. Yet, the Quantum Sciences appear to more strongly support the idea of the old adage: “Mind over Matter”, where our very thoughts can also influence surrounding events, as well as be highly receptive to them, even as very subtle events. Would such ever really be possible in a “virtual reality”?

So, as we can see, through the lens of commonsense,

Our basic “senses” of the physical (and perhaps, “aphysical”) nature are very important to us. Not only are there survival needs for them, but also these senses are how we best interact with the world around us. When we are impaired in one or more of the senses, especially when we experienced part of life through them beforehand, we can, for a time, feel as though we “lost” a connection to this existence, and perhaps even lost an ability to further explore our world. Our sense are a very important part of our personal development, and even as part of our spiritual practices (for those who do have spiritual practices, anyway). We highly value our five (or “six”) senses, view them as divine gifts (or at least – important abilities) in which are able to experience our world, and perceive our world. These senses are an extension of our inner Being, and are how we relate to the outside world. Without them, our lives would probably be very different than from what we currently perceive. We base our views, perceptions, and values on the various experiences we have, especially as relating to what have experienced through the senses. Take these away, and you will most likely take away the most important parts of what it means to have a “Human Experience”, and what it means to be alive!

Now, back to the lunacy of “Man vs. Nature”:

It makes no sense that the created, can ever surmount and defeat its creator!

The ostentatious idea that a few “educated” folks (who often call themselves “scientists” and “experts”) calling themselves superior to Nature, is a very dangerous and fatalist position. It is when folks like them, have the temerity to call themselves as better than anything natural or nature, on the mere premise that “science” has ALL THE ANSWERS, and that our “primitive” ancestors new virtually nothing in comparison, who apparently live a life of extreme hubris. It is also telling how science has been simply turned into a tool for exerting more political power, and as a means to put to rest any competing thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and theories, all under the guise of “expert opinion”. Expert Opinion does NOT, I repeat does NOT create scientific laws  nor supercede already-existing natural laws! Mere opinion, regardless of the credentials behind it, is STILL subject opinion without the basis or weight of evidence or fact. Yet, this is what is being used to rule over all of us. The nest step in the amalgamation of all that political power, namely – the ability to control every aspect of our state of being – TRANS-HUMANISM, and the intense effort to build in systems and architectures, in which to reduce and store the sum quantity of mankind, and man’s totality to mere bits and bytes of compuetrized, digitized data.

As I explained a bit in my previous segment of this article series:

Simply digitizing, that is – converting from the natural form and expression – into a series of one’s and zero’s that make up the digital data stream, something as basic as a picture, represents a conversion process that introduces losses of quality and resolution, through the introduction of errors, that vastly separates the digital “copy” from the original. The digital copy becomes flawed, especially over several generational copies, to the point that it simply CAN NOT faithfully and accurately reproduce an excat copy of the original. This is the nature and the limits of the technology. Life, Experiences, and all other aspects that are a part of what we call “Life” (or even existence) can NOT be simply “copied” through artificial means. These aspects can barely even be remotely copied through the prevailing natural means, let alone through arrtifical, technological means. So HOW does one reproduce the original human being, complete with an exact copy of his experiences, likes, dislikes, memories, etc. if we STILL can not accurately (and exactly) reproduce a mere picture of the real thing, from a digital copy?

Then, the long list of how “the smart men” were so much better than nature and natural, and the disasters and still painful messes that have resulted today – all from that way of thinking:

  1. Modern medicine, with all of its nuanced and ever-evolving “drugs” (allopathy) and how many annual deaths result in these united states of America – all from taking, by instruction, prescribed “medications”. Mankind has been served well, for many thousands of years, by what could be found in nature. Even many of the ancient religious and spiritual texts described the many benefits and “miracles” of the various plants and animals that man can use. For many thousands of years, Naturopathy and Herbalism has maintained entire populations and cultures. Yet, there is no “profit motive” to actually curing and healing the people of various diseases and illnesses, with today’s “modern medicine”.
  2. Modern forest and land management practices – How we used to extinguish EVERY naturally-caused fire that were once cyclical and normal – to the point that now the forests have much over-growth to the point of creating a huge, dangerous tinderbox. Resulting in hotter-burning fires (often in excess of 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit) and far more devastation. We also have many invasive weeds, of exotic origin, that were once used to replant burned out grassland areas. Most of these exotic weeds are very aggressive, very hardy, and quite toxic to most of the native wildlife – AND – often contribute to even more-hazardous fire conditions!
  3. Modern Wildlife management practices – Where we now have a serious problem of (re)determining the proper population balance of predator-to-prey animals, include for man’s needs (hunting, food, etc.) – as well as through the questionable introduction of exotic species into the natural ecosystem – without determining first, what other effects this introduction may have there.
  4. Weather Manipulation/Modification Projects – This is by no means absolutely incredible and incredibly dangerous! There is absolutely no reason to ever tamper with the weather and/or climatic patterns, especially by aerially-depositing noxious substances which will eventually end up in the soils, waters, and breathable air shared by ALL living things within a given region/area/etc. This is just absolute pseudo-science hubris at work!
  5. Our Food and Modern Nutrition – Has been under attack and subvert for the sake of profit for many years now. The “Genetic Engineers” seek this path of “improvement” of our many crops for food, foodstuffs, clothing, and basic essentials. Yet, Nature had everything we needed – to include healthy soils. This proliferation of GMOs (Genetically-Modified-Organisms) represents a severe threat to the natural selection of native species, and therefore – the very survival of many species of other plant and animal life on this planet. The degradation and destruction of many colonies of Honeybees is a significant threat to the survival and well-being of ALL of us, all from these GMOs and the various chemical poisons used on and around them. Not to also mention, that these GMOs are all “Intellectual Property” under the current laws! HOW DOES ONE DECLARE “OWNERSHIP” OF AN ENTIRE SPECIES???

So, by just illustrating the previous few example areas where supposed “science” is suposed to answer for the claimed “failings of Nature”,

It comes as no surprise that control, greed, hubris, and various other self-destructive, self-centered mindsets are what bring about this egotistical thinking that a few “smart men” can “change the world for the better” by claiming that they, and their knowledge, are superior to that which created and maintain this existence – and all the beings within it – for perhaps, billions of years. What’s more, every instance that establishment “science” has been used to further incur into Nature and Nature’s God’s realm and powers, are each and every instance that disaster very soon followed. So WHY should I trust anything coming from their lips, and the salemanship of the Trans-Humanism Movement when they say: “This will be the evolution man” – when in reality, I see it more as a destruction of humanity, and destruction of all what it means to be human??? If we can not even simulate, let alone reproduce the ability of our senses, both physical and aphysical, to act and respond in the very same way that our bodies and souls do so, naturally, then HOW can we support pushing man into the merger with machine, or even towards this “singularity” that was never meant to be?

When a few men decide the course of human evolution, or for that fact – taking over ANY act of evolution for anyone, including other animal and plant life, is the day that all Nature, and everything within it, are in serious jeopardy – and these few “scientists” and their enablers need to be shunned and fully divested from any source of public trust, profit, and away from any ability at political influence! This is a must do! If we are to continue onward, and evolve NATURALLY, as our gods intended, then it is time we throw off of this scientific tyranny for once and for all. These so-called experts, are merely either paid “mouth-pieces”, or they really are in the position of setting the course of social policy, and in the effect – setting the course of evolution – to THEIR (ignorant) specifications. Let’s do this right. Throw off Trans-Humanism. Throw off GMO’s and all the attendent uses of all those poisons. Throw off the tyranny of weather control/manipulation and the resulting tight controls on our critically-needed Natural resources.

The “Singularity” is NOT our friend!

“Manifestation” and Free-Will, The Fact of Reality.

I thought this would be a subject that needed to be aired out a little.

I have heard time and again this constant meme that has become so common with much of the New-Age movement: “Everything that happens to you, is because you manifested it upon yourself.” – This was what one individual said to me, out in the plain, open air, in referring to some troubles that a dear friend of mine has been having with some very problematic (and very dangerous) people. I was absolutely astonished at how dismissive he was when making this very broad, judgmental statement!

So,

If I am going to attempt to bring sound logic and reason to the discussion table, I guess I am going to have to do so here, without constant, argumentative interruptions.

I am all too familiar with the various trials and mishaps that may happen in life, from time to time. We all have our various troubles, heartaches, and “hard times” as we try our best to live our lives in the best fashion possible. We also have our “enemies” who wish nothing more than ill intent upon us, and even seek to undermine that we wish to achieve through the various means and methods they may concoct. That is what is expected when we are talking about everyone having a certain amount of free will.

A friend of mine has had much trouble brought to him, by those who seek ill towards him. Many legal remedies have been tried and failed miserably. We have both come to learn, all too well, that our trusted system of “checks and balances” is very broken and corrupted (if we wish to think of it this way). It seems to serve more of those it “favors”, as opposed to assisting and protecting the rights of those who fall outside of its “circle of friends”. He has tried and tried to get relief from the constant harassment, threatening, sabotage, and absolute skull-duggery against him – so that he can go on with his life, and try to become productive again. I can say this for the very basic fact that I have personally seen some of the awful behaviors and actions done, by some of the very same folks who have no accountability for their actions. – Yet, to some – this is just fantasy and “paranoia” on his part!

The point to start off with,

Yes, there ARE very evil and vindictive people in this world! Tere ARE people who seem to take great joy in the suffering of others, especially when that suffering is caused by their own hands! There ARE people in this world who would go to great lengths to ensure and continue inflicting suffering, pain, anguish, and mendacity upon others whom they have targeted! – THIS IS REALITY, FOLKS! There ARE such people in this world who so narcissistic as to try to ingratiate themselves with the pasttime of hurting others relentlessly, and expect to get away with all of it! – So WHO, in their right mind, would wish this upon themselves as the receiving victims of such constant and continuous treatment at the hands of others??? WHO actually chooses to endure such constant suffering through harassment, hazing, threatening behaviors, etc.??? – Come on, some of you supposed Buddhists, Hindus, and other “devout” religionists of other “faiths”, religions, or whatever have you! Just answer me: “WHO would actually “choose” to live such a life as put upon by others of ill-intent???”

Let me explain as I did not intend to go after all Buddhists, Hindus, and other faiths and practitioners.

My “fire” was intended toward those who choose to use their religious faith, convictions, etc. as a lazy excuse for condoning and even giving a pass to those who engage in such evil acts, while condemning the victims of such acts who have full right of recourse to remedy. Of course it is so easier to downplay the plight of the unwilling victim, than it is to actually come to terms that there are such evil people who need to be dealt with, in accord to the social customs and traditions of that society. Most of the absolutisms of the “live and let live” hive-mind thinking are more a nuance of the last two centuries, than they are of the ancient wisdoms. Most of the modern New-Age culture has blindly adopted these tenets as IF they were the “law of the land”, when such is NOT the case. They preach “respect free will” to the extreme that they often ignore the fact that the receiving victims ALSO have the right to exercise free will, even for their own genuine self-preservation! The “turn the other cheek” proverb still has limits to its applicability and timing. Self-defense is still just as valid now, as it was before the creation of the establishment “church” and its “rules” and doctrines!

If we were all able to “manifest” purely by dreaming, thinking, and visualizing it, without actually doing anything else, then what point would there be in all of us having to experience this level of reality. Why are we not, then, able to just “dematerialize” out of this existence, instantly, and become gods??? – Again, if our own mind-power was all that was needed to completely control our reality, then WHY should we be HERE, on this little Earth, a miniscule particle floating somewhere in a huge universal-sized “sea” of unknowns, instead of actually being god-like and omniscient as such we accredit the gods of old being???

What many blind followers of the “Abrahamic Laws of Attraction” fail to see,

Is that many of the events and happenings around us, are NOT purely centered around US. Just as an individual may have the ambition to become wealthy, through his own efforts and labor, there are many others around him who would probably rather see him fail and become destitute. If his efforts are outmatched by the efforts of a plurality of others in opposition to his goals, he stands very little chance of success, until he is able to extricate himself from that environment, and into one more conducive this success. When such a predatory system is widespread, as in a governing system over the whole area or region, then his chances of success may be further limited or restrained. I tried to communicate this effect, and examples thereof, to several folks I knew. We do NOT always get what we want, no matter how hard we put our effort into it. This is a fact of life, NOT because he/she was not being “positive enough” in his/her thinking!

Whereas there are some things the individual may have some measure of control over. There are plenty of other things, events, and such that will take the combined efforts and contributions of multiple people to affect a desired result. It should already be well known in Wiccan circles, for example, that the more people who contribute their personal energies and focus towards a specific goal, the more likely that goal will materialize into an expected result. This goes right to the heart of “manifestation”. Some things can be accomplished (through corresponding action, of course) by the individual, and others need a little more help from multiple sympathetic minds. If it turns out to be one individual versus a crowd of opposers, the individual is most likely not going to prevail over that situation. That, again, is a FACT of life.

Then, We have the other question: “What about Free Will?”

Let’s see, the usual suspect when it comes to various kinds and instances of social injustices, is when those who choose to exercise their own free will to promote and even have an active hand in the committing of social injustices, is one prime example. The other, is in the “silent deniers” of these social injustices, down to the individual level, all on account of their religious and social “engineering” of the common memes of blaming the victim for his or her own sorry treatment by others. Thus, many of these so-called “spiritual” types who define these injustices as “self-manifested” have NO CLUE about the reality of Free Will and how social and personal injustices often remain uncorrected. “Visualization” is only a PART of the process of manifesting good, or bad things to happen. Another important (and often overlooked) part is ACTION. It takes ACTION to build a home. It takes ACTION to put a business into operation. It takes ACTION to materialize a work of art. It takes ACTION to do ill towards others. It takes ACTION to correct and provide relief from the ill-intentioned actions of others. It takes ACTION to implement the causes for the good, in the face of resistance and the il intent of others. It takes ACTION to begin and complete the process of manifestation. ALL magic workers should know this! – To Know (Visualize), To Will(Actually do it), To Dare(Finish the actual “doing” and send it on its way), and to “Be Silent” (let your efforts, all of them) come to fruition, and then realize the results. The Will to ACTION is an effort of Free Will.

Then we come to the conundrum of “Free Will”, and its place in our societies, along with where its limits should be respected.

This brings me a reminder of a saying one wise man once wrote:

” Your rights begin within you, and end where they touch against the rights of another. ” – This was to be understood much in the same fashion as how we view our “personal space”, where our personal space extends to as far as we can physically reach, without stepping within, uninvited – of course, the personal space of another. Very basic and very understandable, from a commonsense-point-of-view. If we were to be able to just “manifest” with only our own mindpower, all those things we wanted, regardless if they were to impinge upon another or not, would we not be violating the free will of the other? Would that not make us as unethical as the unwilling victim of our actions or “manifestations” think of us? Would this not create an “imbalance” in Nature and our Universe? – I seriously think so.

This is one of the reasons why we need to think of “opportunity costs” of our actions and desires. Everything, in Nature, the Universe, and in existence – en-total, has a potiental cost. Something needs to be taken out, for something else that is made from it, survive, and/or something new created from it. When something is just destroyed, killed, or in any other fashion brought to ruination without the purpose of rededicating it, or utilizing it to build or otherwise use for a creative purpose, is called waste! The general character and operation of the processes of Nature do not include wasting anything. Everything has its purpose, and everything – its time. Anything other, is waste and Nature wastes not, because there is a balance that must be maintained.

What seems to escape the minds of most of today’s “scientists” and anthropologists, especially those with similar thinking to that of Dr. Stephen Hawking:

The existence of “Free Will” as being a very natural occurrence, and not necessarily defined nor limited to the mere happenstance of “chemistry” in the brain.

This line of reasoning (oh REALLY?!?!? – Is THAT what they call it???) reflects the very base attitude that we, as a living being, amount to nothing more than a “bag of chemicals” and the resultant reactions between and among those chemicals. When we get into the habit of reducing the whole of life and living to as being “mechanical” and “predictable” upon the limiting premise that chemistry dictates all of our actions, thoughts, dreams, feelings, and various other intangible aspects of what we call “life”, then we also reduce who we look at life in terms of the natural tapestry. We reduce, down to the lowest denominator, the basic origins of creativity, dreaming, feeling, and expressing or otherwise reacting to certain situations and stimuli. We reduce the meaning of life to those narrowly-defined terms. This also negates any aspect or possibility that we find out new things and new experiences in the natural world around us. Thus, by saying the “collection of chemicals” and their resultant reactions being limited and finite, they are saying that human potential is just as limited and finite. Human creativity and thought, by nature, have the tendency to express themselves far outside of the societally-imposed limits and “standards”. THIS, is what many in the arena of political control, feel the need to set limits upon, and control through their systematic grid of command and control.

This train of thinking also seeks to minimize the idea of “individuality”, and what it means to be a unique individual. Most of the thinkers of this category truly believe we are all the same! It is not much different from their thoughts about other animal (and possibly plant, etc) species: They are regarded as being exactly them same also, regardless of the apparent individuality expressed by each member. This fits well into the societal image of everyone being exactly equal, with no characteristics to differentiate each individual. This is very wrong-headed thinking, and culturally repulsive to those who are supportive of recognizing individuals by their own unique worth, and their own efforts.

“Free Will” represents the boundless possibilities that can be achieved by those who express their creative, imaginative powers. It asserts its power, from the unleashed mind, to a vast array of decisions and actions, as part of the natural occurrence of life. Human beings are not the only species to evidence the existence of Free Will, but also other creatures. Free will also is well-expressed in various problem-solving methodologies. Even without the basis of a “formal education” (which oftentimes, a society sets strict limits on what is to be learned and how it is to be applied), the ability to solve problems, both small and larger, the more complex, is as natural a function as breathing, but is also a very conscious effort. Conditioned-response training and indoctrination” serves more to condition the individual to limit his/her thinking to within “acceptible norms” as in accord to “societal values and standards”. This conditioning is usually about combatting and minimalizing the expression of free will and any independent thought.

If there was no such thing as “free will”, and we were all to be exactly the same,

Then WHO would have invented the telephone? WHO would have made the observation that “gravity” exists and is present? WHO would have taken on the establishment church on its standing that the Earth was “flat” and not spherical? WHO would have observed and then recorded that the Earth was NOT the center of the Universe, but orbited around the Sun. So many examples to show that we are NOT all exactly the same. We may all look similar, but similarities are not as “sameness”. Our expressions inspired by the FACT of free will, alone, prove this. There is no need for arbitrary “scientific” validation and “peer-review” for what is already observable by everyone.

Finally,

The great disgrace that was meted out to the human societies by the establishment, imperialistic churches, was that it was a “sin”, an “imperfection” that was built into us, by God. This makes absolutely no sense if said creator God was “Perfect”, and had reason to gift Free Will to each and every one of us! What’s more, if free will was a “gift from God”, then WHY did many of these church organizations seek to eliminate free will, and the cherishing of it, through their sermons? Also, why did the church canons seem so heavy on scaring the congregations into marching in lock-step with the dictates of the church clergies, in complete and total violation of “God’s Law”, as represented in their doctrines and texts? If Free Will was a divine gift from God, then depriving God’s Children (us uncluded) should similarly be viewed as a violation of God’s Law (by THEIR “bibles”). I seriously believe many “priests”, “deacons”, and such should revisit their teachings and find the inconsistencies in their own practices. Some of the greatest works of art, architecture, and music (which many churches have endorsed and/or benefited from) came about from someone’s free will to create and share their creative works (or even have commissioned). The “church” has benefited from the free will of many others, to include from “donations” and contributions made freely, by those expressing their free will in the giving.

So, I hope this little post (“Little”? Really???) has helped to set some things straight. I sat on this article as a “draft” for quite a while, until such time was right for finishing it, and getting this off of my chest. Free Will plays a very important role in manifesting anything. The Laws of Attraction are only partially correct the way they are interpreted and applied. In order for creativity to exist and grow, is through the existence and practice of Free Will. The Will of one, will usually be out-weighed by the opposing Will of multiple others. If “Bad Things” happen to someone, and they do not result from the actions self-inflicted, they are usually from someone else who does not respect the one’s free will. There IS such thing as “evil”, and there ARE, in fact, evil people in this world!

Attention UK Shamans! : The Government May Have Just Banned Everything.

Bans

The Government’s fear that someone might take a drug and have a nice time is only getting worse, judging by an upcoming bill that implies that anything and everything that has any effect on you whatsoever will be made illegal.

From: THE INDEPENDENT,
Christopher Hooton,
Friday 29 May 2015,

It’s not written in law yet, but the tease in the Queen’s Speech doesn’t sound too gorgeous (emphasis my own):

“The Bill would make it an offence to produce, supply, offer to supply, possess with intent to supply, import or export psychoactive substances; that is, any substance intended for human consumption that is capable of producing a psychoactive effect. The maximum sentence would be seven years’ imprisonment.”

As politics.co.uk points out, you could argue that your mum’s cooking is a psychoactive substance if it gives you a feeling of happiness. The same could be said for a calming cup of tea.

OK, so obviously the bill won’t get that silly, but this does highlight how confused and capricious the Government’s approach to drugs is.

. . . more here . . .

FROM THE POSTER:

This just makes further the cause of standing firm against the over-reach of “big government”. There are many beneficial uses of various natural “entheogenic” plants and substances, especially in healing and medicine. Then, there is also the other problem: When overly-broad policies, like this one, become “law”, they are usually not too hard in the future to expand the definitions and applicability of those laws, to include even other substances that were not originally intended to be controlled. (Just look at the example of “gun-control laws”, and how they are constantly expanded in scope to include other weapons that were not originally intended to be covered in that/those law(s).)

In otherwords, how long will it be before there is a push to include all natural vitamins, nutrients, and even vegetable garden products in this “law”?

Police Seize 10 Children From ‘Off-Grid’ Homeschool Family.

Authorities targeting Americans with traditional, rural lifestyles.

Infowars.com,

Police seized ten children from an “off grid” homeschool family in Kentucky on Wednesday after receiving an anonymous tip about the family’s traditional lifestyle.

The nightmare story began when sheriff’s officers set up a blockade around Joe and Nicole Naugler’s rural property before entering the premises. Eight of the kids were out with their father but Nicole and two of her oldest children were at home. Nicole attempted to drive away but was subsequently stopped and arrested for resisting (attempting to prevent officers from taking her two boys away).

The sheriff then demanded Joe Naugler turn over the other eight children by 10am the next day or face felony charges, an order with which he complied.

“They are an extremely happy family,” said family friend Pace Ellsworth, who asserts that the Nauglers were targeted because of their “back to basics life” and their decision to homeschool their children.

Friends reported no concerns about how the children were being treated by the parents, who follow an educational model called “unschooling” where the children decide their own curriculum based on the subjects that interest them and what their strengths are.

“This is the natural way to live,” said Ellsworth. “It’s actually a growing movement. They want to have a personal education and not a factory education. They are completely open about their life. Everyone is learning by living. They are all extremely intelligent.”

The family’s Facebook page – entitled “My Blessed Little Homestead,” is a charming testament to their way of life. The Naugler children are obviously living a blissful “free range” lifestyle amongst 26 acres of land in Breckinridge County.

“They frequently post pictures and videos of their children, animals and their off-grid life,” reports Off the Grid News. “A May 5 post showed a video of a toddler, Mosiah, learning to walk. An April 24 post showed a happy family, gathering around a campfire, roasting marshmallows.”

The family have set up a GoFundMe page to try and raise money for legal expenses.

A website for the family spells out their plight with the heart-wrenching words; “This Kentucky family of 12 people, 6 dogs, 2 farm cats and a few random farm animals was just torn apart. Their crime: Living a simple, back to basics life.”

This shocking story once again illustrates how families attempting to simply get on with their lives in a traditional manner are being treated as extremists by other Americans, snitched on, and targeted by authorities.

Meanwhile, in New Jersey, a WND report highlights how parents were interrogated by a CPS caseworker who questioned Christopher Zimmer and his wife Nicole, “on everything from their son’s homeschool education to questions about vaccines and guns in the house.”

Michelle Marchese aggressively demanded to enter the property after asserting Christopher Zimmer Jr. was not getting a “proper education.” Police subsequently arrived and allowed Marchese to enter the home before conducting a warrantless search.

The Zimmers are now suing the CPS for $60 million in a case before the U.S. District Court in Trenton.

COMMENT FROM THE (RE)POSTER:

Another fine example of the control-freaks’ agenda: Control all life by out-lawing Nature and all things good! There are more than enough wide-awake folks seeing what is happening with our “modern society”, and it is not good. This also goes in line with the various municipalities’ and states’ onerous laws against home gardens, powering off-grid, and even home well-water.

Some other fine examples of a “society” going way off the deep end:

So WHERE do we go from here? ? ?

Those of us who are trying to recreate the Pagan lifestyle and experiences, are having our basic Natural rights attacked left and right. I have written and re-posted several articles on problems with our modern-day “pro-vaccine-mentality”, and just how dangerous to our collective (and especially, individual) health is! Yet, there are many separate moves in the states (and the federal level) to completely do away with our choice to NOT “partake” of this thing called “modern medical marvels of medicine”. Hell! The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is the ONLY country that refuses to inform the average grocery consumer of what’s in our food and toiletries!

Are we truly a FREE SOCIETY in these UNITED STATES? ? ?

When are WE, as Pagans, Naturalists, and all others who are concerned about our growing health problems, going to collectively protect what little in the name of rights we have left? ? ? It is waaaaay past time to put a complete stop to all of the buy-outs, payola, and all forms and causes of BRIBES that simply sell off the remainder of our basic rights to existence.

I want to here from YOU, my Brothers and Sisters! PLEASE!

Speak up and cogitate some ideas on how we all could come together and truly change this! (All comments from elsewhere around the world are ALSO WELCOME and encouraged.)

Whatever Happened to “Science”? – How The “Process” has been Short-Changed and Corrupted.

The Atom
Image from: imagineemergence.blogspot.com

After reading (and re-posting) the last few articles,

I felt that it was past the time that I needed to weigh in on the debate about what we call today, “science”. I grew up with a very inquisitive mind, and a passion for finding answers from as long ago as about the age of six (6). It all started with one of my earliest presents (when I was recuperating from the Measles [OMG – those dreaded Measles!]), a book about Science and how many things are explained through a scientific understanding. From this book I learned about Thunderstorms, Flight, Thermal currents, and even how fuses work and the magnificent invention of refrigeration! It was a very thick, hard-bound book that would have been suitable for a good school textbook for second and third-graders. Yet, at almost six, I was reading it.

By the time I was in the first, and later second grade, I had a healthy appetite for knowledge and reading detailed books about how things worked, and so on. I took an acute fascination to prehistoric creatures and evolution, all from the wonderful books from the school library. By the time I was finished with the third grade, I was able to name and know the meanings of the various names of these long-extinct prehistoric creatures. I also understood some of the possible theories, floated then, on why most of these creatures became extinct.

During my later childhood school-years,

I had several great influences towards my extra-curricular studies into the advanced topics in science, especially some of the physics, biology, and geology. I had a genuine love of understanding how our world came into existance, and how it changes all the time. I also had some help in beginning my understanding of basic health and nutrition’s role in it. It is amazing how much influence a few good teachers can have upon one’s life, from so very early onward!

By the time I reached highschool, I had a very healthy understanding of science as a process in which we try to answer some of the many questions about our world, and all things within – and – about it. I became well-versed in the “Twelve-Step Scientific Process” [which is sadly not very well known by most of today’s students – >;~(p==== ]. This Scientific Process was something I had to know, intimately, if I wanted to conduct any form of experiments, and have any credibility in the findings and conclusions of those experiments. So, my sincerest thanks to my eighth-grade science teacher, “Mr. Stewart”, and a few of his friends – who were also science teachers in the same school – for being such the stalwort inspiration in my scientific endeavors! My quest for answers (and more questions needing answers) never stopped when I graduated from school.

What I have seen in the years since my “tutoring” in the field of the sciences, have been many inconsistencies that have caused me to question if these “experts” were using the same Scientific Process I had grown to learn?!? So far, much of what I have seen and examined with my own scientifically-oriented mind, has me seriously questioning the credibility of these “experts” and “scientists”. Yet, all the more pressure, as applied by the “main-stream” media, to take them all at their very words, with NO debate nor any conceivable question about their findings. It seemed to me that their conclusions where to be treated as on par with the Natural Law, and all of it be their “final answer” (THANKS, Regis!). I thought Science was all about continuing debate and even re-examination of some of the previously-accepted-as-true theories, suppositions, and whatever other declaratory statements. I always thought that a Hypothesis was an “educated guess”, based on what basic data was available? I always thought that “Theories” had the basis of some supporting data and evidence to their claims, and were still NOT “cast in stone”, and therefore, still open to debate? I always thought that absolutely NOTHING was a complete certainty in the field of science? – Maybe I have it all wrong ? ? ?

One is NOT practicing good science if he/she/they: *

  1. Filter and/or select from the raw data, only that piece of data which will or could lead to the expected (favored?) outcome or evaluation,
  2. Put supporting the “pet” theory, above all things, as the most important part of the experiments and/or evaluations,
  3. Deliberately alter or “massage” the raw data before conducting the evaluative process upon it,
  4. Deliberately ignores results and/or evaluations that do not fit the presupposed results,
  5. Does not repeat the evaluations upon revising/re-examining the theory/process/methods using exactly the SAME format of data towards the evaluative conclusion,
  6. Does not understand or recognize that Science, as a PROCESS, may have to be a repetitive process in order to come to a sound conclusion (upon the SAME raw data),
  7. Does not include a “control-group” so as to account for ALL the possible variables by comparing to a neutral standard (in a neutral environment),
  8. Does not consider the importance of doing “double-blind” studies and using true “control-groups” in the experiment(s) and/or evaluation(s),
  9. If one strays too far from the normative part of the “Twelve-Step Scientific Process” in its adherence to a strict standard of accountability of its step-by-step evaluative process,
  10. If there is a “conflict-of-interest” element in the “process” whose effects are not minimized and/or accounted for,

( * I am very sure that I may have missed a few points, but that list should be at least a reality-awakening bit of info, and show where my skepticism of the current “science” is warranted. )

For what I have seen, repeatedly, of the current practices (all in the name of “science”), I am very skeptical if these “scientists” and the many “experts” in their credibility and their sometimes ASSININE conclusions.

It gets pretty bad when some of the former experts, are the ones coming out of the shadows to become some of the biggest whistle-blowers, and aptly able to expose the sheer corruption going on in the various agencies, bureaus, organizations, and especially – the private industries. In speaking with a few former scientists (especially one who claims to be a physicist), I must agree with a few other folks whose posts I have read on-line: “Many scientists receive very little training in philosophy in school.” – This may be a very large part of the problem, as the Twelve-Step Scientific Process is not only very structurally method-oriented, but is also a philosophical expression on how to properly DO science!

Science is about the search for answers (and more questions), regardless of how much we may like or dislike them! Science is supposed to be neutral in its stance, and devoid of any weighted interests in one answer over another.

The End of Another Season: Reflections of Time.

As I look into the present, I also look into the past.

The seasons change as they always have, and always shall. Another Summer gone, another Fall is here, transitioning towards Winter: The “Great Sleep” that awaits all in Nature, on the Boreal Hemisphere. We have counted Moons, and swirled to-and-fro throughout our minor excistence, in the Grand Cycle of Time. The colorsome trees, as they don their last clothes of the seasons. Let us be thoughtful on what has come to pass.

The harvests have been grand this year, as payment for the toil and perseverence, exacted upon those who worked the Land. The times of recalling of those vast arrays of experience, and the stories to be told to those who follow. The chill in the air, a reminder that comfort is not forever. The waning of the Sun’s Golden Warmth, a reminder of the fallow. This time, this place, this very moment – what do we reflect, and upon what do we see ourselves within the lense of Nature?

If for nothing else,

My prayers to the Father of Sky, and to the Mother of Earth, and their Brothers ans Sisters, all between,

Thank You for the memories,
And Thank You the Experience,
Of Every Moment that we call Life.

A “Two’s Compliment”: Why most relationships fail.

Now is a good time for me to get on top of the proverbial “Soap Box”, being that recent months’ experiences have helped open my eyes even wider to a very common problem today. – Namely that of relationship that fall apart, whether suddenly or over time.

= = =

We, as a species, were once very much in harmony with Nature; Her cycles and multitudinous events and experiences. This was well-reflected in our societies (most of them were fairly small – by today’s standards). The “family” was all important, and was the basis and foundation of the strength and cohesiveness of the community (or “village”, if you will). We are not talking about more socialism or any other “ism” by what we may think we know of these ideals under; I am speaking of the Natural tendency of the human specie, like many other of Nature’s more-gregarious creatures, to feel in harmony with one another. Most of the very early cultures relied upon every able-bodied, well-minded community member to participate in the day-t-day goings on of the community. Their survival was dependent on it.

This Natural tendency to share what we can affordably give up to another in need or desirous of what we have to offer, is often seen in our youngest members – well before the societal conditioning sets in. – We hear many tales of the “Innocence of Babes” (even though today’s “church” may disagree otherwise) and the images of the ever-youthful looking angels or “cherubim”; The perfect symbolism of a child’s simplicity in thinking and genuineness of feeling.

We also practiced our social skills, daily, by communicating and sharing of ourselves with one another – with some over-bearing “laws”, “codes of conduct”, and regulations lorded over us by “the book”. This was very much a natural consequence of being a social creature. There was very little to be gained by being “opportunistic” over and above one another. This was also done out of love and compassion for the other, regardless what perceived “social status” one may have in his/her village.

As another important part of Natural Law, even in human societies, “Survival of the Species” required that if we, as a species, was to continue to exist in this world, there was need for partnering with another who will eventually become our partner in life, and who will be a part of the children yet to come. It took TWO parents to raise and teach healthy children, who also would be of “sound mind”, and able to care for themselves when their time came to explore the world as a “grown-up”. The parents contributed the finest of his AND her energies and life lessons so that the children may grow up fully knowledgeable and well-prepared to “take the reigns” of life into their own hands. This required a considerable amount of dedicated sharing and strengthening of the relationships in a balanced fashion.

Each parent (to be?) has different strengths and weaknesses that compliment where the other is an adequate match: The One’s weakness is complimented by the Other’s strength. Now, notwithstanding that we all have our own private desires, we still can acknowledge a balance between “self-interests” and the interests in and with the other. It is through learning this “balancing act”, based on our own experiences, that we learn to be malleable in our behaviors and interactions with others, as part of evolving ourselves into the capable and wiser being as we age. All successful relationships require a certain amount of understanding in the “give-and-take” aspect, and its optimal balance for a particular relationship to work well.

Then, there is also the commitment to keep the relationship alive, growing, evolving, and become ever more beautiful with each passing day. The rewards experienced by the participants often far outweigh the continued, genuine effort invested into said relationship. When commitment is high, the relationship most-usually prospers and remains strong, against many external pressures and resistances.

Much of what I see, today, (to include what I have recently experienced) is where there is more being given by one side, and taken by the other. When the commitment of even only one of the participants begins to quiver and shift towards more self-interest, the strength of the relationship is highly in question. Oftentimes, where acute self-interest becomes the “invader”, the stronger commitment to “self” – at the expense of love of the other – becomes the destroyer. What often follows, the secrecy, lies, and other forms and means of hiding the true reality of the nature of the relationship: “On weak ground, and possibly doomed to failure.” Much of today’s “household problems” come from problems in the equality and quality of the relationship: Much of the obvious – materialism, consumerism, institutionalized obsolesence, “easy money”, and a plethora of modern societal ills.

I guess I can say that my former relationship was a classic example.

If we are to ever regain our individual and societal strengths, as what was experienced by our ancestors, we need to take a good look at what we are willing to commit to, and what ideas and goals mean more to us – in the longer term. Relationship take time to establish, and more time to strengthen. They also take constant effort, and reassessment of our priorities concerning the on-going relationship. Many of today’s distractions (as they should be apropriately referred to) are constant attacks on our own state of being and upon our chances of maintaining healthy, thriving relationships. Is there any reason, other than what I have illustrated, for there being a commonness of single-parent households? Is there any other rational explanation for the high divorce rates across the great land of ours? It also comes as no surprise, that in the flurry of legislation that virtually outlaws in-the-work-place romances and relationships, there are many more pressures against forming viable relationships and perhaps the chances of future families. Many a marriage and resulting families started with forming relationships, between two consenting adults, at the place most convenient for meeting such a perspective partner.

However, the “hyper-consumerism” beat goes on and on. The flow of “easy money” and easy credit all but add to the problems. If we are to regain our former stability and strength as a society (and as a “nation”), we seriously need to reevaluate our condition! If we are unwilling, in mass numbers, to commit to the basic principles that successful, enduring relationships need, we simply become nothing more “self-isolationists”, guided by the “needs and wants” of now: Ever-changing in character, and never enduring. The so-called experts’ demogoguery: “The Family is an outdated idea of man’s prehistoric, barbaric days” becomes a reality, because we helped make it a reality.

So, what about the children ? ? ?

If the children continue to be reared in such “altered states of households”, where do they, then, learn about the finest that humanity, and human society, can offer? Where do they learn to become “Human”, and successful humans at that ? ? ? Where and when will they learn what it takes to form successful, natural bonds with one another; Bonds that may become new families, and the “Promises of Tomorrow” for mankind ? ? ?

A View to Inner-Peace: The Pause Between Thoughts.

For lack of anything better to write about at this moment,

I thought I would do something fairly short on Inner-Peace and the momentary silence between events, ideas, thoughts, and so on. This post came as an idea after I was talking with a friend of mine about Dreams and how we sometimes interfere with our own abilities to receive them: By “trying” too hard.

One of the very first lessons I learned when i was attending a meditation group was to RELAX, and calm the mind and body. Just so happened that the group I was with was organized and lead by a (long-time) Buddhist student. One of the simplest exercises, though not so easy to do by the many, was to not concentrate on anything but your breathing. Every thought, every sound, every feeling – was to be acknowledged – and then your attention returned to your breathing. The whole idea was to eventually find the absolute emptiness and inner peace within your Being.

One of the things I understood about some of the later experiences with meditation(s) in another group, was to not “concentrate” too hard toward anything, but let the images and feelings come to you. This works very much like when in the presence of an unfamiliar animal (and even its spirit): You do not approach it, but let it, on its own volition, approach you – while you maintain a fairly relaxed composure. Many times, some of life’s more-challenging experiences may require this approach in order for one to find the solution that best fits the problem.

The world of magic, healing, and many of the other “meta-physical” aspects of life may require a more-subtle approach than we are used to being told to do. This is where “society” often fails us, miserably, when it comes to practical ways to find and employ solutions to the many complex problems we may face, day to day. So, I advised this friend of mine about the less-common path of least resistance, by suggesting he not try too hard to force his Mind to come with the answers, but relax and let his Mind do what it does best: Imagine and picture the solution into being. Then, he is free to try the solution and see if it fits the problem at hand.

It is also just as practical that when one is faced with an “insurmountable” problem (as some would say: an “impasse”), be not afraid to stand back a few moments and take a pause. Sometimes, it is that moment of silence we need to pay attention to. Oftentimes, it is within that “moment of silence” when we will hear the quiet voice of Wisdom speaking to us. So, there IS great power in that moment of silence.

– Please find your moment of silence, and the resulting Inner-Peace today!
